Battery 141007 Replacement For Acer KT0010N001 Iconia Talk S A1-724

Against the background of two consecutive quarters of growth in the global smartphone market, IDC predicts that global smartphone shipments in 2021 are expected to reach 1.38 billion units, an increase of 7.7% from 2020, the highest increase since 2015. This growth trend is expected to continue until 2022, when shipments will reach 1.43 billion units.

IDC report shows that 5G mobile phone shipments are expected to increase by nearly 130% in 2021. By the end of the year, almost all regions except China will achieve triple-digit growth. But in terms of market share, China will account for nearly 50% of global 5G mobile phone shipments this year, and it will be the main force for shipment growth. Obviously, China's high base makes its growth rate seem not that big.

IDC predicts that the average selling price of 5G Android phones will drop to US$456 this year, a 12% drop from the average selling price in 2020. By 2022, this number is expected to drop to $400.

It is worth mentioning that TrendForce previously stated that it is expected that the annual growth rate of the global smartphone market in 2021 will shrink from the original 9.4% to 8.5%, which is close to the 7.7% growth rate predicted by IDC, which confirms each other.

The global smartphone shipment data from the market research organization Counterpoint shows that the global smartphone shipments in the past two years (2019-2020) were 1.479 billion and 1.331 billion, respectively. IDC's 2021 shipment is expected to be higher than 2020 and lower than 2019. According to data from Canalys, a market research organization, global smartphone shipments in the first quarter of this year were 347 million, which means that the next three quarters will have to achieve over 1 billion shipments to meet IDC's expectations.
